1. Introduction
Welcome to PhotoMentor ("we," "our," or "us"), a service owned and operated by SolveOne EOOD (a company registered in Burgas, Bulgaria, under UIC/EIK number 208821652). We respect your privacy and are committed to
protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our
Service (Web Application or Chrome Extension).
2. Data We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your email
address and name to identify your account and manage subscriptions.
- Images: We process images that you explicitly upload or select for analysis.
- Google Photos integration data: If you enable the Chrome Extension's Google
Photos integration, the extension may read the currently visible image URL on
photos.google.com, compute a compact visual fingerprint, and use the visible preview image to
find an existing PhotoMentor critique or to send that preview for analysis when you request it.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous metrics about how you use the service to
improve our features.
3. How We Process Images
We do not store your personal photos on our servers
permanently.
When you request an analysis:
- Your image is temporarily processed to extract visual data.
- We use the Google Gemini API to perform the AI analysis. The image data is
transmitted securely to Google for this purpose.
- Once the analysis is returned to you, the image data is discarded from our processing pipeline.
- Thumbnails may be stored temporarily to display in your history, accessible only by you.
- No AI training. We do not use your photos to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning or AI models. Images are sent to the Google Gemini API solely to generate your individual critique and are not retained for model development. We do not transfer your images to any third party for generalized AI or ML training. We never use your images or data for advertising purposes.
- Public Sharing Exception: If you
explicitly choose to use the "Share" feature, your photo and its analysis will be stored and
made publicly accessible via a unique link. By using this feature, you consent to the public
display of your content.
4. Chrome Extension and Google Photos
The Google Photos integration is optional and can be turned off in PhotoMentor settings.
- The extension only runs this integration on photos.google.com.
- It does not access your full Google Photos library. It works with the image currently visible in
the active Google Photos tab.
- Google Photos CDN URLs are used only temporarily to fetch the visible preview image. We do not
store those URLs permanently.
- For history matching, we may send a compact image fingerprint to our backend. For analysis, we
process the visible preview image, not the original Google Photos file.
5. Payments
We use Stripe for payment processing. We do not store or collect your payment card
details. That information is provided directly to Stripe whose use of your personal information is
governed by their Privacy Policy.
6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with PhotoMentor. Analytics helps us improve the product by showing which features are used, where users encounter friction, and how the site is discovered.
What we collect through analytics:
- Page views and in-app events (e.g. photo analyzed, checkout started)
- Device type, browser, and approximate geographic location (country / city level, derived from IP — IP is not stored)
- Referrer URL and UTM campaign parameters
- Session duration and navigation flow
User identification:
For signed-in users who have granted analytics consent, we may send a pseudonymous internal user ID to GA4. This ID is an internal account identifier — it is never your email address or name. It allows us to understand aggregate usage patterns across sessions (e.g. how many analyses a typical user performs before upgrading) without identifying you personally.
Cross-domain measurement:
Analytics is active on both photomentor.pro (the marketing site) and app.photomentor.pro (the application). We use GA4 cross-domain linking so that a single visit — starting from the site and continuing in the app — is counted as one session rather than two. Both domains use the same GA4 property (G-S9GTRM7D3M).
Your choices:
- On your first visit to photomentor.pro, we show a consent notice. Analytics is disabled by default until you choose "Accept analytics."
- The same choice applies across photomentor.pro and app.photomentor.pro using a shared PhotoMentor consent cookie.
- If you choose "No thanks," no analytics cookies are stored. GA4 may still receive limited, cookieless, non-personalised pings (IP-anonymised, no cross-session tracking) as part of Consent Mode v2 behaviour.
- You can change your choice in the PhotoMentor app under Settings → Analytics. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on below.
- You can also opt out of Google Analytics globally via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services:
- Google Gemini API: For AI image analysis.
- Google Analytics 4: For usage analytics (see Section 6).
- Google Auth: For user authentication.
- Stripe: For payments and subscriptions.
